Above all else, our goal is to promote and perpetuate social change in the Greater Orlando communities that will benefit most from it. By empowering women and providing valuable leadership training, we are giving local women the tools to get involved, put their talents to work, and positively impact the communities of Central Florida.

As one of hundreds of Junior League chapters across the world, we are a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc. (AJLI). Established in 1947, the Junior League of Greater Orlando plays an integral part in the development, improvement, and support of the communities of Greater Orlando.

Our Local Impact

Right now, our primary focus of eradicating poverty and food insecurity requires immediate action, and our multi-faceted approach is making an impact. In 2025-2026 we plan to increase the number of formal civic leadership trainings and hands-on volunteer opportunities with community programs, partners and community organizations whose mission and needs align with member interest and our Focus Area: Eradicating Poverty & Food Insecurity. The Junior League of Greater Orlando (JLGO) is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. Our purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

The JLGO commits to the following values:

• Serve as a catalyst and/or leader in effecting community improvement efforts as an organization that seeks broad-based involvement with the community
• Create a supportive environment for the personal and volunteer development of women through formal and experiential training
• Reach out to women of all races, religions, and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism
• Value and include a variety of perspectives in JLGO’s membership, decision-making process, practice, and program development
• Accomplish the purposes of the JLGO through sound financial and resource management
