Member Scholarship
Scholarship information for the 2026-2027 League year will be available by January 1, 2026!
Purpose: To provide financial assistance for incoming and current members of the JLGO. The scholarship is intended to allow for our League to recruit and retain a robust and exceptional membership. We aim to lower the barrier of entry for members with current or future financial need and to honor members and prospective members who exemplify the JLGO mission.
The scholarship award is based on merit as well as financial need.
Applications will be reviewed in April 2025. The Board of Directors will notify all applicants of the decision by April 30.
Please note that the number of scholarships given will be based on the number of members that apply as well as the amount of scholarship dollars we have to distribute. We may not grant applicants the full amount if that number exceeds the number of available funds and qualified applicants.
Who May Apply?
All members of the Junior League of Greater Orlando (Provisionals, Actives, Sustainers) are eligible to apply. Priority will be given to members who are not previous scholarship recipients.
Incoming Provisionals may apply provided that you must agree to complete your Provisional process within the League year of which you started. Scholarship funds will be rescinded should you not complete your Provisional process and request to go into Active status by May 1.
What Are The Guidelines For Applicants?
Active status members must have all of your obligations completed or have requested an approved waiver from the Membership Status Committee (MSC) by April 30, 2025.
The full scholarship will cover the cost of JLGO League dues of $127.00. However, applicants may receive partial amounts depending on their application and/or available scholarship funds. All scholarship recipients will be responsible for the AJLI dues of $43.00 regardless of amount granted.
AFO is not covered by the scholarship, only League dues. Scholarship recipients will be responsible for their entire AFO credit which can be attained through campaign events, fundraising initiatives, or general donations.

What If I Wish To Donate/Contribute?
Should you wish to contribute to the JLGO Scholarship, you may donate to the JLGO Member Scholarship here. Additional scholarship drives may occur throughout the League year.
