Mentoring Adolescent Girls to Inspire Change (MAGIC) provides mentors to young women who are survivors of sex trafficking and are currently living in the residential housing program run by the non-profit organization, Images of Glory. Our JLGO volunteers work to boost the self-esteem of MAGIC participants by offering support, encouragement, and education. Topics we cover include women’s health, personal finance, self-esteem, mental health, career options, mindfulness, nutrition, and more.

IOG provides housing, education, and social programs that help survivors heal from the impact of sexual victimization while building self-esteem, confidence, and self-sufficiency through education. Meet the CEO of Images of Glory, Inc.

Katherine D. Norfleet, fondly known as “Pastor Kathy,” founded Images of Glory, Inc. in 2000. Inspired by her own experiences with trauma, she has made it her life’s mission to advocate for children and families affected by sexual trauma. Pastor Kathy is a retired army veteran, children’s advocate, and staunch supporter of education. She holds a BS in Criminal Justice and numerous certifications, including Christian life coaching and human trafficking prevention. Her extensive work has earned her multiple awards, including the Modern Day Abolitionist Award. Pastor Kathy also serves as a pastor, missionary, author, and proud wife, mother, and grandmother. She has been serving the Central Florida community since 1998.

MAGIC Event Recaps

In our September new committee kick-off session, our MAGIC (Mentoring Adolescent Girls to Inspire Change) Committee visited Images of Glory for our first monthly mentorship session. We spent time with a group of young foster girls who have experienced human trafficking, sharing pizza and creating vision boards together. Each participant had the chance to discuss their goals and dreams as we fostered a supportive and empowering environment.
